Heavy presses and large machinery installations require heavy tension bars to constrain the working loads applied at operating pressures. Upset forging increases the bar diameter to form a bar head with excellent grain flow and high integrity suitable for threading. Bars can be supplied as an upset forged blank, or part machined for final machining by others.
Standard metric threads, 'Niemann' threads or fine pitch threads can be thread cut or thread rolled as required.
